WHITE ZOMBIE

Neil Parker (John Harron) and Madeleine Short (Madge Bellamy) are a young couple traveling to Haiti invited by landowner Charles Beaumont (Robert Frazer) to celebrate their marriage. However, Beaumont is in love with Madeleine and hopes that she agrees to marry him. When rejected, he goes to the local voodoo sorcerer, Legendre (Béla Lugosi). Her plan is for Legendre to turn her into a zombie, declare her dead and bury her, and return Neil to the United States to revive her and stay with him. However, Legendre has its own plans for Madeleine and for Beaumont.
