During World War II, Sherlock Holmes, the most famous British detective of all time, collaborates with the Government of his country to obtain the transfer of Dr. Franz Tobel from Switzerland to England before the Gestapo puts his hands on it. Through his experiments, Tobel has developed a high-precision explosive technology and, although he wants to give it to the Allies, he insists that he be the one to manufacture the bomb. However, when the scientist disappears altogether he leaves only a key message that Holmes and his inseparable companion Dr. Watson must decode to know what has happened to Tobel. The detective will soon discover that his former enemy, Professor Moriarty, has been behind everything from the beginning.
